IT Support Engineer (Level 1–2)
Location: Dublin
Salary: €45,000 – €50,000 | Permanent, Full-Time
Our client, a leading engineering and technology organisation, is seeking an IT Support Engineer (Level 1–2) to join their expanding technical team in Dublin. This role offers exposure to a wide range of systems and infrastructure, providing the opportunity to support users, implement solutions, and contribute to IT improvement projects across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-line support to users across desktop, server, and network environments.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and group policies through Active Directory.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues, VPNs, and local network faults.
- Assist in setting up new offices and project sites, including device and network configuration.
- Maintain documentation, asset registers, and ticket tracking within the IT system.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on infrastructure or cloud-related initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- 2–4 years’ experience in a similar IT Support or Systems Engineer role.
- Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory administration.
- Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
- Knowledge of Teams, SharePoint, and remote management tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, or ITIL) are advantageous.
